No Place Like Room

My room is exactly my paradise. That’s the place where I can do everything i want. I usually spend most of my time there. I feel so special and comfortable in it. Despite of its size is not so big, i can feel the joyness. On the right side of my room, i put my bed and also the matress. That’s my favorite spot because i can lean my body beside the wall. I have no exact design of my room because it’s just a simple room.

I put my cupboard on the left side of my room. After that, i set my table in front of it. I always put my bed beside my cupboard. So if I’m late, i wont waste lot of time to change my clothes and take a bath. And then, on the right side of my room i hang a mirror. I use it to do the final check before going out like combing my hair or anything else. And the last, to memorize my high school moment, i put my shirt which is signed by my friend in high school on my table.

"Free Hugs = Share Love NOT Drugs"

There was a man with a black coat walking in the crowd and wanted to share his love to everyone he met . He has long and curly hair. The man who wears that round spectacle walked alone and brought a sign with him. “Free Hugs” were the words which were written in that white board. In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effect of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal. He wanted to give his free hugs to everyone he met. At the beginning, everybody thought that he was crazy or under a medical treatment. There’s no one noticed him. But, the condition was changed when an old lady started to hug him. The man who brought the sign suddenly gave his hug to her. After that, he was started to give his hug to anybody else. Many people came to him and hugged each other. This is a very touching moment when everybody started to share their love by hugging somebody else. This action was growing until many people did that. Not only hugging, the other people like the youngsters also helped him to spread the word. Some boys held the “Free Hugs” sign and noticed the other new people.
But, this action seemed a bit out of the law by the police. So, they banned this action. Maybe the police thought that the man was trying to spread a Satanism trough persuading people and ask them to hug each other. The thing wasn't like that. The way to make the police believe was by writing a petition. It was supported by the people. The supports were showed when the people started to sign the petition. 10.000 signs! There were a lot of people agree and supported this action. Because of that, the police couldn’t say anything. This “free hugs” campaign ran well without any problem. And then, many people were hugging each other.

I can learn many things from this campaign. We may not underestimate somebody who we don’t know yet. Whether he or she has long/short hair, bad clothing, we have to respect each other. The main point is to share our love to other people. By hugging someone else, we have shared our love and spread positive feelings to others. For your information, the people in Paris also do the same things on every Valentine’s Day.

Unforgettable Moment

I will never forget the moment when I said the truth of my feeling to my girlfriend. 25th August 2013 was the day when this moment written in my memory. This is not a romantic story of mine. It just an ordinary story for the others yet it was so special to me. It was really horrible and awkward. But, because of the horribleness it became so special. This was the first time I talked in front of a girl about my feeling. I used to text or call someone to say “I Love you”. So that’s why it was a bit challenging. I prepared something special for her. I bought a bouquet of white “aster” flower for her. I wouldn’t buy red roses because that is too mainstream.  I had prepared a speech to be said in front of her. When the time had come, I invited her to have food. We went to Mailaku for having dinner. I didn’t order heavy food because the situation made me forget about my hunger.  Potato wedges and coke float were my food which accompanied me. I had a strong feeling that she liked me too. It can be shown when I saw her smile across my face. Our conversation was a bit flat and sounds boring because I had nothing to talk with her. When we had a silent moment, I tried so hard to remember my speech and all of the words that would make her sure about my feeling.
When we felt that we had nothing to talk about, we decided to go back home.  In the car, I tried to be honest and told all of the things I had prepared. “Mia, I have something to say, I want to be honest with you that….” After word ‘that’ I couldn’t speak as much as I thought. She answered curiously, “That? That what?”. I was so confuse to answer her response. So I just spoke and chose the word randomly which popped up in my mind. “No, I just wanna say that you’re beautiful”. She laughed after listening my answer.
I thought that I wouldn’t be brave to say it. But, because the time went so fast and it got darker and became so late, I convinced myself that I should say it. On the way to her house, I parked my car on the side of the road. Then, I spoke out loud that I like her. After that I took my flower and directly gave it to her. She was quite surprise. I knew that she was a bit doubt about everything I had done but I tried to convince her. The most awkward moment was when I asked “Will you be my love?”

Finally, the simple ‘yes’ from her was the reason that could make me stayed up all the night. And that moment won’t be forgotten in my life.
